P ower Technology has been manufacturing valve and chassis spring testers since 1992. Our customers include many of the top racing teams, engine builders and manufacturers in the world, such as Hendrick Motorsports (Jeff Gordon, Terry Labonte), Roush Racing (Mark Martin), Robert Yates Racing (Dale Jarrett), Childress Racing (Dale Earnhart), Warren Johnson, Richard Maskin, Team Menard, Treadway Racing, Katech, Competition Cams, Isky Cams, K-Motion, Lunati Cams and many others.

Engines and Race cars set up using Power Technology's testers have won some of the most prestigious races and championships in the world, such as the Daytona 500, Brickyard 400, the Winston Select, the INDIANAPOLIS Pole Position and Lap Speed records, multiple Winston Cup Championships and NHRA Pro Stock Championships.

Development of Power Technology's initial product, the PT-200 Valve Spring Testing System began in 1992. A prototype system was shown to the top engine builders in racing, including Randy Dorton, Warren Johnson, Buddy Morrison and others. In particular, Randy Dorton of Hendrick Motorsports worked closely with the designers at Power Technology to insure that the PT-200 satisfied the demanding valve spring testing and setup needs of his Winston Cup engine building program. Since that time Hendrick Motorsports has used their PT-200 systems as their valve spring testing and setup system for their Winston Cup championship winning engine programs. The PT-200 has also gone on to become the premier valve spring testing system used by the leading Winston Cup, Busch, NHRA Pro Stock and Indy Car teams and engine builders (see customer list).

Power Technology followed the PT-200 system with the PT-500 Chassis Spring Testing system. As with the PT200, we consulted with top chassis experts to develop a system that met the critical needs of today's complex chassis setups. Team Menard engineers worked closely with Power Technology to help make sure that the PT-500 satisfied the stringent requirements of Team Menard's Indy Car program. Since then, the PT-500 has become the chassis spring tester and setup tool of choice by many of the top racing teams (see customer list).
